Lindsey Tigar is a freelance travel journalist who posts on her blog and has been published by a load of magazines including Vogue and Readers Digest. Her articles mainly consist of lists and rankings of the best places to go or do things from. Between her resume of magazines and publishers and her interesting titles I knew I had to read one of her pieces. I chose How Traveling Together Has Changed My Relationship With My Mom. Upon reading it I grew an immediate connection when she said “Apart from falling in love with the splendid joy of travel and fully adopting my sprouting wanderlust, our first mother/daughter trip cemented a new bond: not only could we talk about anything, but now we could go anywhere, too”(Lindsey Tigar, How Traveling Together Has Changed My Relationship With My Mom, Travel + Leisure). I felt a connection with her because of my own relationship with my mother. I can infer that Lindsey Tigar makes these emotional connections with her audience often and that is a main reason why she is successful.
