Finding Fake News

cmontgomery321

Even though fake news seems to have declined quite a bit after this year's election, it is sadly still present. With COVID-19 still an ongoing problem in our country and the vaccine for it becoming widely available, fake news still has a subject. Facebook still seems to be the fake news capitol of the internet and still serves as a vessel for people to spread it, despite the company supposedly taking action to limit or totally eliminate it. Fake news directed at the vaccines tends to use scare tactics like detailing symptoms, whether possible or not, as well as "ingredients" in the vaccines that may or may not actually do harm. The post has since been deleted, but I was shown a facebook post claiming the vaccine included Thiamene, Riboflavin and Lignin. These are natural chemicals found in apples, and do no harm.
