Free Delivery

Andie Bernal

While the country is on a lock down to prevent the spread of Covid-19, restaurants can only rely on delivery and take out to keep their income flowing. The shortages of food along with the general anxiety of the grocery stores press customers to turn towards delivery and take out food. Some may be wondering how safe it is to have your food delivered by a stranger. There are several applications such as Grub Hub, Doordash and Favor that allow workers to pick up and travel with your food to your home. However, the FDA as well as experts find this is perfectly safe as long as you are practicing good personal hygiene such as hand washing.

"Current guidance from the Food and Drug Administration states that "there is no evidence to suggest that food produced in the United States can transmit COVID-19."

"Several infectious disease experts whom NPR spoke to concurred that research hasn't turned up any evidence of COVID-19 spreading through food." So, continuing to order out should not cause concern and helps to stimulate our economy.
