Front Page Impact

Im observing the front pages of two news article websites, CNN News and Fox News, just chosen randomly and see that the layout and the headlines prioritized at the top are on the same topic (Corona Virus or COVID-19) but they’re on different perspectives in terms of what about the virus they are looking at. Fox News shows a lot of political views and how the government is handling the situations and things revolving mostly with politics. Headlines consisting of things like,”Stocks rally after market's best week in several decades … Trump spars with Jim Acosta at coronavirus briefing: 'This is why people don't want to listen to CNN anymore’ … Texas governor mandates 14-day coronavirus quarantine for travelers from 7 more states, cities," most of these headlines somewhat having to do with politics and the government.

On the other hand, CNN has headlines not just about politics but about doctors going across the country to help New York or just how doctors are doing their best to help, how supplies are becoming scarce. Headlines consisting of,” 'We are slowly descending into chaos,' trauma doctor saysFord to build 50,000 ventilators in 100 daysThis sweet photo of health care workers flying to New York is what we need right nowAnimal Crossing is letting people live out their wildest fantasy: Normalcy," some headlines trying to give us positivity and hope. You can just tell by the photos and the headlines what each news article is trying to say.

Fox News wants to give us facts about the virus while also keeping the citizens updated with politics, while on the other hand, CNN wants to also give us facts but also wants to keep us updated medically on how people are fixing this as best as they possibly can.
