Ahmad Noorani, a controversial journalist in Pakistan, was targeted for his views on Pakistani politics. “On Friday morning, Mr. Noorani was heading home after running an errand when his car was followed by men on motorcycles brandishing weapons” stated a NY Times Article about the incident. After viewing a view of his articles, he uses words such as “miseries”, “guilt”, and “scandal”. Using this tone, ostracized the power of the Pakistani militia especially in politics. His articles focus a lot on the effect of a corrupt regime on small business owners and locals. He uses the impact of personal stories of those affected to emphasize the need for change.
