The Corona virus has affected all of us in many ways, with our schools, vacations, and work schedules have changed due to this global epidemic. But what many are experiencing most is the shortage of food and daily necessities found in grocery stores, mega marts, and amazon. With the corona virus entering the U.S in early 2020, a sudden rush of people began to stockpile necessities for the coming weeks out of panic and fear. In a massive wave, store shelves containing diapers, toilet paper, canned food, bottled water,hand sanitizer and disinfecting spray were emptied out within a matter of days. This sprawl turned into a domino effect of people scrambling to buy supplies as fast as they could. Independent News interviewed store managers who said "“Antiseptic wipes and Clorox disinfecting wipes are flying out of here”. With the coming weeks surrounded by ambiguity, who knows when store shelves will stay restocked again.
