Hope For Future Journalism

tnguyen341

In Masuma Ahuja's Predictions For Journalism, she talks about how journalists can improve their stories with more thoughtful and meaningful articles. Ahuja explains that "news right now feels constantly urgent, a new headline to be outraged by every day" because of the constant change in people's views of the government, people's rights, climate change and more. She believes that the audience pays less attention now due to the overwhelming amount of information being thrown at them. She wants the journaling community to come together and think more about how to bring in the audience and to keep them engaged. In asking more questions over whether the audience will better understand the situation or be more confused.
