Journalism is comprised of people that write stories for the public based on facts and then it is supported with proof or evidence. That doesn’t mean that everything we read is based on that because some stories are just informative which should hopefully lead you to do your own investigating and research. Of course, there is always competition when it comes to news media and Renée Kaplan, head of digital editorial of the Financial Times, said it best “We compete with not only other similar news media but every kind of frictionless and dynamically adaptive content experience that users get from all the other content apps on their phones.” Forbes even had an article by Jenna Gourdreau that discusses how cutthroat it can be but also discusses on way to thrive and succeed.
