Juneteenth is an event celebrating the day the last enslaved people were freed in the United States, back in 1865. Juneteenth is celebrated every year on the 19th of June. This year the celebration has been amplified due to the BLM movement. Social Media Platforms have joined in on the celebration in order to amplify black voices. "Facebook is running a series of events on its 'Lift black voices' mini-site, which it launched this week" the site raises funds and resources in order to help the black community. Other social media platforms like Twitter, Linked In, and Tik Tok are also celebrating Juneteenth on their apps.
