It's so hard to tell if what we are hearing is fake news or if someone is giving us disinformation. Disinformation is intended to mislead the readers and cause harm to a group of people or create conflict among politics, media, and people. A lot of news outlets put out fake ideologies when it comes to campaigning for presidential elections or political based news. According to How to deal with AI-enabled disinformation | Brookings it states that fake news is purposely put out on the internet to draw attention to a certain side. As stated in the article “The attackers have done their homework. For the past several months, they have laid the groundwork, creating large numbers of fake but realistic-looking accounts on Facebook and Twitter. They mobilize those accounts to regularly post and comment on articles covering local and national politics.” These people are coming prepared to try and bend the truth for personal vendetta.
