In Forbes article "Is Chicago really a dangerous city?", McCarthy brings forth statistical evidence that answers the question which in fact, statistically proves that it arguably isn't. He does mention that Chicago is amongst the most dangerous but isn't quite the most dangerous. It opposingly is different from one may think as he factually states "Between 2010 and 2015, the Windy City had 16.4 murders per 100,000 residents while St. Louis and New Orleans had homicide rates far higher on average" illustrating the startling number of violence that the city has endured during a somewhat recent time period.
