The overwhelming bits of information that news feeds and apps communicate to billions of people everyday is spread through different rhetorical processes. Each media outlet and app are different conveys news to its users differently. For example, Twitter drastically changed the way they communicate to their users by increasing the character limit from 140 to 280. This change allowed users to communicate more information without having to break it up into two tweets. With that change, journalists and users can search for the hottest and most recent news and get that information out as fast as possible. In Fow Media’s article, “How Social Media Has Changed How We Communicate“ they state that, “One of the biggest changes in the way that we interact, due to social media networks, is the sheer number of people that we can interact with.” Social media Networks and News outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, Fox News and CNN allows users to receieve information through the touch of their phone. Fox News and CNN‘s layout is that they have breaking news is laid out on the home screen of their app and website that allows users to stay up to date with the newest information.
