How Newspapers Grab Your Attention (Part 1)

Looking at my first example from The Decatur Daily, you are immediately able to spot the title and topic of the article. The first thing that is slapped in front of your eyes is, "City considers ban on front-yard parking." After cross-referencing this with another paper by The Cherokee County Herrald, they use the same technique. Their title for the article says "CANDIDATES SUPPORT SRO PLAN". The reason why both of these articles choose to do this is that anyone walking past it will immediately be able to grasp the main idea without having to read the whole article. If the title entices you enough, you are able to purchase the entire newspaper to learn more.
