A technique that these two articles have in common is that they have a picture that clearly represents the main idea of the front page. Going back to the paper published by The Decatur Daily, there is an image that takes up about 40% of the page and depicts two cars parked in the front yard. Obviously, this is referring to the title, "City considers ban on front-yard parking,", and gives the reader a clear representation of the article. By displaying the image in the largest way possible, the words are smaller in order to compensate. Generally, this is more appealing to the general audience because it isn't as intimidating. This is also found in the second article by The Cherokee County Herrald.
