Stephen A Smith is a sports journalist and is on the show First Take on ESPN and has his own show called The Stephen A Smith Show. Stephen A is from New York and often talks about growing up in New York and being a Knicks fan. He attended Winston-Salem State University located in North Carolina. After college he went to Philadelphia reported on the Philadelphia 76ers. He eventually started to cover all Philadelphia sports. In 2005 he started to appear as guest on ESPN and other sports networks. ESPN liked his personality so much that in 2012 he would join First take with Skip Bayless. Since then he has signed a "megadeal" and is considered to be very successful.
