How to Catch Fake News

Writer: Connor ValvaConnor Valva

There is plenty of fake news across the internet in which news companies want us to believe. Stories filled with lies, yet we take it for granted. Especially young kids and teenagers, they fall for all this fake news very easily. According to NPR, "middle and high schools have been adding courses about how to spot fake news". I believe this is a great idea because they should learn at a young age how to tell the difference between real and fake. The course shows them where to find the citations, to check who made it, and to compare it to other sources. With all the fake news that is online today, I believe everyone should do something similar to this course so we can stop believing all the fake news in our world today.
