How to spot coronavirus fake news

Brandon M.

Fake news has been spreading faster and faster because of how easily it is to access information on the internet, social media, and lastly instant messaging. Although most people associate fake news as being entirely made up information some fake news contain, “a mixture of correct information, which makes it difficult to spot what is true and accurate. Fake news may also be shared by trusted friends and family, including those who are doctors and nurses.”. Many of the people spreading these articles may not have read the full article before sharing so before spreading anything make sure to read over it. The article gives 4 main things to look out for which include, the source whether it is questionable or reliable, the logo, bad English which include repeated spelling or grammar mistakes, and lastly fake social media accounts that mimic real things.
