How We Can Stop Fake News

Fake news or exaggerated news is a common tactic used on social media to convince people to believe a certain way. Fake news has become a big issue recently while some people believe that those accounts should be completely banned while others believe doing this would undermine the core values of American democracy. People can be easily convinced by strong-worded titles or subtitles although they could be exaggerated. Kimon Drakopolus believes there is a simple resolution to satisfy both sides by just showing the social media users less information on a topic. If only a few articles are shown to a user about a topic, there is a lower chance they will be exposed to false advertising or fake news.
