In times like this with COVID-19 spreading across countries around the world, it's more than likely that you've heard the term 'social distancing' multiple times. Social distancing would be putting enough physical space between you and other people to lessen the chance of catching the illness. With COVID-19, it is recommended by the CDC that you stay at least 6 feet away from people to lower your risks. This practice makes it harder to transfer the virus to others from what we know and helps lower the spread. By following these rules put in place, it slows the rate the virus spreads, therefore "hospitals have room, supplies, and doctors for all of the patients who need care."
