Independent Journalism Blocked by YouTube

Jordan Chariton is the co-founder of Status Coup, a media outlet that investigates current political climates and social justice issues. Recently, Chariton noticed that YouTube began taking down their videos and otherwise censoring the coverage of the election fraud claims. Though Status Coup challenged the claims of those they interviewed, Chariton took to Twitter to reveal how “YouTube [was] now targeting independent journalists and punitively punishing them for their news coverage.” He gathers a plethora of people, other independent journalists, and all of them begin sharing their opinions on the matter, even going so far as to reveal their own experiences with YouTube’s automated algorithm.
