Instagram and facebook are very, very similar when it comes to their main social media purpose. Although, they both use different rhetorical ways of advertising news.
Instagram is arguably the biggest social media app used today. For social media posts, and even news the biggest rhetorical strategy used is visual rhetorics.
Vice News says "VICE News does take advantage of IGTV to get longer form video onto the platform." All of these news sources are taking advantage of all these new visual ways to interpret their news and make them all much more appealing. Facebook also is a way for news sources to reach society, but they aren't as visual as instagram.
