As of March 10th, 2021, the mask mandate in the state of Texas has been lifted. And Texans have a lot of mixed emotions about this. In an article posted from CNN, they said that "Some Texans feel like they have been sidelined from too many employment opportunities". I have taken the time to interview a couple of family members to see how they feel about the uplifting of the mask mandate and how they think it is going to affect their lives in the upcoming future. I spoke to Tanya Sanchez (my mom) to see how she felt about this issue in our community. She stated that " This will only benefit me and my company because I need more interaction with people to face to face!". But my younger brother Andrew Sanchez states that he "will be wearing his mask most of the time" still because his school requires it and so does his part-time job at chipotle. In other words, the lifting of the mask mandate looks like it has the potential to make the lives of local texas to get back on track!
