With most people having access to communicate with the whole world at their fingertips there is no way all the information put out is real and factual. But is this a bad thing? No, fake news is productive because once seen fake news repeatedly you will not be fooled in the future. “Many who take the time to browse both real and fake internet news have a better understanding in media literacy.” You will have a better filter on what’s real and not. Not only will you learn to have a better filter, but you will do more research yourself about will topic which will eventually make you more informed. Once finding fake news you will soon be curious for the real news about the topic, so you find multiple sources to determine the real story and that makes you more informed. Fake news is a learning tool if we have an optimistic attitude towards coming across it.
