Allen, Texas. popularly known for their abnormal sized high school averaging about 6,000 students. Allen is also famously known for their football program which have rounded up about 5 championships. But what really creates so much controversy around the school is how much money they invest in their football program, providing a stadium that was worth $60 million. Obviously there were multiple people who disagreed with the choice or thought it was ridiculous to invest so much into a high school sport program. but does Allen not show enough financial support towards its other sport programs. “our wrestling program just won their 11th championship, but yet we still give all our money to football” (Prince). With football being so big in Texas does this 6A school belittle the other sports programs it offers?!
