JJ Redick, who was recently reluctantly traded from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Dallas Mavericks, told his podcast listeners on "The Old Man and the Three" that he was dissappointed that he did not get bought out of his contract and have the choice to sign with a Northeastern NBA team so he could be closer to his family. Redick, 36, who has had a long NBA career, missed the playoffs last time for the first time last year with the Pelicans. Redick has since said he is excited to play for the Mavs since the initial trade.
