Journalism in TV

Though it isn't a film, the TV show Hannibal does originate from a book. You might be wondering how a TV show about a surgeon turned cannibal psychiatrist applies to Journalism, but it might surprise you. Throughout the show, a journalist named Freddie Lounds gets herself involved with nearly every murder. How? Through her website TattleCrime.Com. On her website, she posts scoops and unseen photos of crime scenes that are still being investigated. Her website turns out to be more destructive as the show progresses. Once she gets to personally know an FBI agent, she begins spinning his mental condition and his actions against him, causing the man more torture than glee. In conclusion, to avoid spoilers for those wanting to watch, Freddie puts herself in the way of danger as her clickbait filled articles on her website attract the attention of several unsavory characters. This is a perfect example of how scummy journalism practices (I'll avoid real sources to avoid conflict) can lead to destructive events.
