I read an article "Millennials are ready to run things" by Julia B. Chan and Kim Bui https://www.niemanlab.org/2020/12/millennials-are-ready-to-run-things/ and was given a fresh perspective on the challenges that journalist have been facing. As stated in the first sentence of the article, "You love to blame a millennial." It appears as though many millennial journalist have spent the last several years being "told we weren’t ready, we didn’t have enough experience, we didn’t have the right experience, we weren’t a good culture fit or we were too radical." However, since the recent 2020 pandemic, they've been able to shine bright and prove that they are ready to take over in journalism. [1 image, 1 link, 2 quotations, 114 words]
