English reporter, Lizzie Dearden, believes that getting hundreds of threatening messages are all a part of her job. Lizzie reported a contraversal case for The Independent and was getting threatening messages from far-right extremests. The messages went as far as “[taking] photos of her house with the address plus her family’s details” (Dearden 1). The police took no action in protecting Lizzie and one day she was walking to the courtroom, when she was attacked by a far-righ acttivist, James Goddard. This attack “shattered [her] belief that the abuse and threats were confined to the online world” (Dearden 1).
