As we all know about COVID-19, we know this is such a life changing thing going on. As a result of this we have all been told to say home, jobs have been shut down, schools are closed. Those are not the only problems this pandemic is causing. Many people do not realize the situation people are in now. Amanda Taub from New York Times mentions “Now, with families in lockdown worldwide, hotlines are lighting up with abuse reports” in her article. People are not thinking about those who are now trapped inside a house 24 hours a day with their abuser with no excuse out. Domestic violence has risen and so has suicide rates.
