Journalist Reviewed

On the anniversary of Covid-19 being declared a pandemic, four journalists sat down and discussed the effects it has had on their careers. Together they cited three major changes: the struggle to develop work-life balance and the form and way in which information was being released. Journalists were forced to receive information from press conferences as opposed to scientific text. On top of that "The news was moving faster than the peer review process" (Newman 1). They had no choice but to attempt to sift through the nonsense on their own if they wanted to get the information out at the pace that it was needed. I am curious to see the effects that this may have on journalism in the future when Covid-19 dies down. Will continue to trust journalists to give us information that is not reviewed by scientists in advance?
