Journalists Aren't Safe

Due to the mass spreading of the coronavirus, especially as the US passes all other countries in case counts, everyone even with a slight chance of carrying it is getting tested. Big cities like New York City and LA are especially in danger due to their high populations and tourism rates. Journalists face a large threat as it is part of their job to investigate situations like this on the daily. Notably those who travel to Washington D.C. for press conferences in the White House are at risk. Journalists present and within close proximity of the president and others have been tested after showing symptoms, but tested negative. Although they did not have the virus, some may ask if the possibility of contracting it makes their job worth it. The safety of those in the White House has been considered dire as reflected by "the latest effort by the White House and the White House Correspondents’ Association to keep the new coronavirus off the campus."
