Although some don’t consider New York City the wild, this concrete jungle contains interesting stories from unsuspecting people. The page, Humans of New York, ran by Brandon Stanton, contains stories and photographs from subjects, not just New York, but around the world. What started as a photography project, Stanton began to "interview [his}subjects in addition to photographing them," which slowly blossomed into what it is now. From Italy to Rwanda, Stanton opens his followers to a different view of life and the challenges people face. His social media allows those that follow to get a daily glimpse into ordinary people’s everyday lives, as well as exposes us to problems in the world we weren‘t aware of. His blog shows that we all have things in common and maybe us as humans aren’t as different as we think.
