Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, journalists have utilized a variety of diverse rhetorical strategies and implemented these strategies throughout their writing. Typically, a "journalists’ discursive actions in an outbreak context manifest in identifiable rhetorical motifs", causing journalists to shift their point of views and inclusivity throughout the global pandemic. This has caused a shift in the use of journalistic rhetorical strategy in writing, and popularized a more simple and approachable method to absorbing and taking in large amount os variable information. Furthermore, journalism has strayed away from traditional methods in. the context of mainstream media and has utilized methods more suitable to the context of the current state of the world.
