A journalist, named Marco Margaritoff of allthatsinteresting.com, wrote a story titled “Monstrous New Cousin of T.Rex with Super-Hearing Unearthed in Argentina” uncovering the new findings in Australia. He explained how Paleontologists doing fossil work had come across a new species of dinosaur, which had been named Llukalkan Aliocranianus. The fossils found had shown that the LLukalkan Aliocranianus measured “16 feet long, with razor-sharp teeth, large claws, and a short skull covered in bulges and prominences.” Through analysis of the fossils found, remarkable discoveries had uncovered the fact that this species had extremely good hearing as well as a “powerful nose for prey.” The rhetorical strategies used by Margaritoff that really caught my attention was his use of interesting pictures/diagrams of the bones and his constant references to research/expert work.
