The two brothers had been purchasing military-grade weapons on Ebay to supply to a dangerous Mexican Cartel, CJNG (Jalisco New Generation Cartel). The Almada brothers got creative and "used over 50 PayPal accounts" to purchase dangerous equipment for the CJNG. They had purchased items "like grenade launchers, rifles, night-vision goggles, ...bullet proof vests" and even found "purchases of laser sights, additional ammo pouches, muzzle brakes, and surveillance equipment" attached to these PayPal accounts. Although the brothers successfully continued their hustle with a major Mexican cartel for some time, it was not long before PayPal started to flag purchases which in turn caught the eye of the DEA. I love how Fraga uses several pictures, interesting statistics, and short/concise paragraph structure to keep her audience honed in.
