When I go to take walks outside on our nearby trail, I notice that there is a lot of trash that people just leave out. Littering is a big problem in Allen and the people in the community need to know about it and need to stop it. According to Ivy Speeding, "If a person is caught littering in Texas, the offender could be fined up to $500. A repeat offender may have to cough-up a fine of up to $2000+ 180-days of jail time". You would think this would stop people from littering, but it is still a major problem and it needs to be corrected. I have worked with a charity league and we have tried to pick up garbage on the side of the road, but the next day, the same amount of trash is there.
