"Never Repeat False Information"

amessa15

Two years ago, I was having a discussion in class about misinformation; I want to add that this discussion was graded by our teacher, which made our class take the discussion seriously. And I remember leaving the discussion with one idea that I still believe is true. "It is more dangerous when educated people are misinformed about a particular theme because they have more credibility in our minds than those who are not educated." Not only educated people but older people are taking more into consideration as sources of information. As an example, my siblings would believe every word I say because I'm older than them.

This is why we should be careful about what are we spreading in our social circle, and how much influence we have on them. Anf if you spot false information and want to report that; Schwarz says that you should make the stories about the lie itself, “Start with the truth. Explain that Person X spread false information and say why they may have done so if you can. Present the false information only after that, and not in vivid detail. Repeat why it is false.”
