News Feeds

In such a technologically advanced culture like ours, individuals grow to expect every bit of breaking news as soon as it happens. For the most part, news outlets can deliver on that and try their hardest to do so, however that often comes with a trade-off. The news relayed can be unreliable and biased, as shown by the headline on https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/26/politics/trump-coronavirus-stock-market/index.html. CNN, a leftist news company, and the Wall Street Journal, a conservative-based publication both report on Donald Trump letting his Vice President, Mike Pence take over in the Coronavirus outbreak. With The Wall Street Journal, they leave any opinions out of the title and present the facts as straightforward as they possibly can. CNN, however, made sure to include the fact that they suspect Trump made this move because of the criticism surrounding the White House's handling of the issue, stating that is was done, "...amid growing criticism of the White House's handling of the outbreak.". Both of these sources are reporting news regarding the same topics and they both have different strategies in which they go about doing so.
