New sites, such as Fox News and CNN are targeted for an older audience, basing a lot of their information on politics and the presidential campaign, but on the other hand, social media, in my opinion, focuses on being modern, trendy, and delivering the most recent news in the most visually appealing way possible. For example, on an app like Instagram where you can upload pictures, to videos, or IGTV's, you can choose what news sites to follow in order to keep up with information regarding your favorite celebrity, the upcoming presidential candidates, or climate change activists. Twitter, on the other hand, includes news for every age and "draws a huge popularity... among the 18 to 29 age bracket." Twitter includes different opinions and information that can be portrayed through funny tweets or more ground-breaking instances.
