News on Social Media

"According to Journalism portal, two-thirds of readers utilized social media to get fresh news in 2017."

Television has been a great source of news during the last decades, but social media is taking over the news. Not long ago people used to sit on their couch to watch the news on TV, they could do this while eating or taking a coffee, it was like a ritual to come from work and sit on their couch and turn on the TV to watch the news. However, social media is taking over the news. Sac believes that finding news through the phone is faster and easier than the traditional ways. Sac says, “It is important to be informed about what is happening around us, which is why I am always trying to keep up with the news, but it is hard to do this through the traditional ways since you have to wait until the end of the day or the next morning to go over them.” Watching the news on social media is faster and allows you to have better management of when you read the news and where.

This method of watching the news is becoming a common thing among people from the age of 18-35 years old, a fact that is not surprising due to the fact of how accessible and easy is to read the news on social media platforms. I also want to add that most people spent their time on social media anyway, which makes a quick check on the news effortless.
