These are two front pages of newspapers on June 17, 2020. The image on the left is The Baxter Bulletin published in Mountain Home, Ark. USA. The image on the right is the World Journal - Los Angeles published in Monterey Pk, Calif. USA. The front page of the Baxter Bulletin only has two images. The layout of the front page is clear and organized. Readers can tell that "Unhappiness at a peak in the US" is the main story for today just by looking at the bolded text. The newspaper did a great job putting the stories in a hierarchy according to their importance and guiding its readers through the front page. For the World Journal, there are multiple images shown on the front page. With all of them being in different sizes, it makes reading the stories much more difficult. Also, most of the images on the front page are advertisements that are not related to the main story. The ads promotion further reduces the likeliness for readers to keep reading and engaging in the stories. It will be better to make the front page cleaner and draw the reader's attention to the stories themselves.
