I looked at today's front pages and took notice of Times Daily in Florence, Alabama and the Oakland Tribune in Oakland, California. Times Daily used the color theme of green. Green symbolizes safety, harmony, and money. This makes sense because this newspaper is clearly focusing more on local news, with the weekly weather and city updates being part of the headlines such as "stakeholders see 5 RR overpass options." The Oakland Tribune chose blue for their main color, which symbolizes intelligence and depth. The Tribune focuses more on national news, all the headlines being related to Covid or Black Lives Matter. I think their rhetoric is equal in its effectiveness because the tone set for each newspaper corresponds to the information they're communicating.
