Mark Cuban who is a billionaire entrepreneur, Dallas Mavericks owner and creator of HD-Net at the start of century, is on to the new thing in investing: NFT's. Non-fungible tokens, have taken the investing community by storm within the past year, most popularly with NBA Top Shot. People can buy GIF-like highlights of NBA players making exciting highlight type plays, and some have been sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Cuban sees a whole new world for the usage of NFT's: “Right now we see quite a bit of utilization of smart contracts for NFTs but those are really just proof of concepts for what can happen in the business world applications like insurance, legal documents,”.
