“Perhaps the gulf between journalism and audiences isn’t about technology or paywalls — it’s that the person delivering the news doesn’t reflect what I’m feeling.” A powerful statement that Andrew Ramsammy author of "Stop being polite and start getting real" had to say on how reporters reported what he talked about. What intrigued me is when he says there isn't real emotion shown, millions of people lost jobs, their family members, and when you watch it on the news the reporters just say it like in Ramsammy words "the ones about a cat stuck in a tree".
What he is advocating for is to not be afraid to show the real passion in the stories that are told. No corporate brand voice, but the real.
