No Career In Journalism

jfoote61

In the article “Journalists get left behind in the industry's decline” by Rachel Glickhouse, she explains how the demand for jobs as a journalist is low. She states that many journalists are having to switch careers due to the lack of care that they receive. Almost 8,000 were lost in 2020. “It’s not just that journalists are losing their jobs. It’s also the journalists forced to work freelance, part-time, as contractors, or in temporary fellowships as they struggle to find or stay in staff positions that offer stability and health benefits”. These problems with journalists have been getting worse through 2020. With news media being accessed through social media and other platforms, it is hard for a journalist to stay employed.
