Jussie Smollet, a beloved brother, actor and singer. He was on the show Empire, where he played the lead role of Jamal Lyon. He was personally my favorite character on the show. One day he received hate mail or ransom that made him upset. What seemed to upset him more was that his cast and crew paid it no mind. It is said that out of filtration of not feeling notice he proceeded in ruining his career. Jussie, oh sweet Jussie, had the bright idea to say he was verbally and physically assaulted. He said this was done by two white male was "Maga hats" and they made homophobic and racial slurs. They beat him up, threw bleach on him and placed a noose around his neck. Everyone believed him at first, I did as well. But for him to say at 2am he went to Subway and was stopped by two "racist" white males in Maga hats. Saying "you're that f**** Jamal from Empire." First who's craving Subway at 2am and why would two "racist" males watch a tv show, where the whole cast are African Americans. His story just didn't add up. Everyone started to not believe him and the police did an investigation. He found his injuries were self-inflicted, he paid the man, and staged the whole hoax. He was charged with a felony and removed from his role on Empire. He faked the whole thing, ruined his career in the matter of 1 month and I don't see him coming back from it.
