Oh The Bare Necessities

In grocery stores, you will see a lot of bare shelves. These areas mostly consisted of the baking, bread, water aisle, paper products, and the dairy department. In the beginning of this, there were a great deal of people who were hoarding grocery items, therefore leaving shelves emptier and emptier every minute. The hoarding left there to be no choice but limits to be set on items like eggs, milk, paper products, disinfectant wipes, spray, etc. The limiting has led to more stocked shelves, but there is still a deficient number of items that are stocked, as people crowd the stores and warehouses run completely dry with these necessities. Micheal Corkery said "the more empty shelves people see, the more panic-buying ensues, the more food is out of stock". This is said to end soon, but we will never know for sure until our world is back to normal, and people are home with loafs and loafs of bread, since lots of people took on the new task of making homemade bread. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/15/business/coronavirus-food-shortages.html
