As some would know, it's very easy to create a rumor. Every day we check our smartphones for new information about things that happened overnight. So many people can post what they want and it could be a complete lie. This can be very dangerous honestly. Because if someone were to post "Shooting at this mall" I'm guaranteeing you it takes 1 person to share and it's all over the news. and it could be just a "joke" to someone else. There are so many fake news websites that you can put a picture of your friend, and say they got arrested. By now we can spot out what's fake. But sometimes pushing our luck with that doesn't always come out so good. Casper Grathwohl says that popularity is "fuelled by the rise of social media as a news source and a growing distrust of facts offered up by the establishment"(Grathwohl).
