Steve Henn is the content strategy lead for audio news at Google and is attempting to make audio interactive, creating greater opportunities in the media world. In the same way that you are able to search up virtually anything on the Web on any search engine by simply typing in the area of interest to the search bar, Henn and Google have "taken the first step to understanding audio and making it searchable and discoverable online". This allows people to access audio events about current events occurring around the world. Furthermore, this same technology aids podcasts because people are able to search for podcasts not just by title, but by searching for whatever they are interested in. From a broader perspective, Henn envisions audio web being applied to an even broader perspective for things like education, professional training, or even story time for children.
