Journalism is a very competitive market when it comes to being the first one to get the story out. Due to rushing and trying to be the first journalist or news station to get the information out there is often times a lot of opinions thrown around and false news because they don’t want to wait for the actual sources and real information; In hence people like to jump to conclusions which isn’t always the truth. “journalism today is a business first and a profession second. Like any other business, the rules of demand apply.” Journalist know that they need to revenue money to keep themselves paid and for that is why there’s a lot of problems. These publishers even go to the great lengths of not sourcing their information and get in trouble just to be the first one. “Some journalists have even risked jail time rather than identify a source” So when people do that its hard to trust what’s real and what’s not when you (the audience) know theirs people falsely putting information out there.
